Part of the Unity Chamber Music Series – now offered VIRTUALLY online – UTRF presents a piano trio featuring MingHuan Xu, violin, Alexander Hersh, cello, and Winston Choi, piano. The trio will perform classical arrangements plus a piano solo by Choi.  The event is offered through Zoom and will include an audience Q&A after the concert which is pre-recorded at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unity Temple.

MingHuan Xu and Winston Choi of Duo Diorama are compelling and versatile artists who perform in an eclectic mix of musical styles, ranging from the great standard works to the avant-garde. Comprised of two renowned soloists who can effectively blend their distinctive personalities together to create a unified whole, the Duo maintains an active performing and touring schedule – throughout Asia, North America, South America and Europe.

Cellist Alexander Hersh has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting and versatile talents of his generation. A passionate chamber musician, Hersh has performed the complete string quartets of Béla Bartok and Alban Berg and much of the rest of the chamber music canon at music festivals worldwide. Hersh is co-artistic director of NEXUS Chamber Music, a collective of international artists committed to stimulating interest in serious chamber music.
