Winifred Haun & Dancers

Winifred Haun & Dancers is a professional modern dance company and presenter-led by award-winning choreographer and dancer, Winifred Haun. Founded in 1991 in Chicago, the Company has created, presented, and produced over 125 original dance works, including one full-length ballet, commissioned 32 original musical scores, and participated in over 270 public performances and events.

These custom choreographed performances were inspired by Unity Temple. UTRF is thrilled to be partnering with Winifred Haun & Dancers for this one-of-a-kind event!

The first half of the performance will be an immersive experience walking throughout the space. Audience members who need less walking/stairs will be accommodated.

Winifred Haun & Dancers will lead a children’s workshop inspired by the performance at Unity Temple. Child dancers will participate in the program (parents of children’s workshop dancers tickets $15, use coupon code: PARENT). For details and registration contact wini@winifredhaun.org

Banks Performance Project

Banks Performance Project was founded in Chicago, IL in January 2017 by Elysia C. Banks. Since its founding, BPP has performed at venues such as the Goodman Theatre, Theatre on the Lake, The Center on Halsted, Collaboraction Studios, and Hamilton Park Cultural Center. Hamilton Park Cultural Center also serves as the resident rehearsal space for the company. Banks Performance Project strives to create works that are honest, sincere, and authentic to real-life experience. They inspire to give the audience an impactful experience and encourage both dancers and audience members to allow themselves to be truthful.

Tickets range from $20 – $39 based on seating assignment. CLICK HERE to view seating arrangement. UTRF members receive $5 off their tickets (use code MEMBERS), limited student seating is $10. The layout of Unity Temple does not allow guests to see every angle from every seat, but each seat will have it’s own unique view.

Due to the nature of the performance, dancers may not be wearing masks but all have been vaccinated or will have submitted a negative test within 48 hours of the event.

Please note: all UTRF program guests ages 5 and up must provide proof of vaccination along with identification for 16 and older (driver’s license, state ID, student ID, passport). Masks will be worn at all times during the event.
